About the Conference Proceedings Series

The journal publishes theoretical and applied studies across the Earth sciences — geography, geoecology, environmental management, cartography, GIS, tourism, and geographic education. We accept original research articles, reviews, analytical materials, conference reports, and book reviews. Articles are published in Russian with extended English abstracts; selected papers are published in English with extended summaries in Russian.

Sections

1. Social and Economic Geography

The section is focused on the prompt publication of research results in the field of economic and social geography, including theoretical developments and materials of applied socio-geographical research. Most publications address regional development and socio-demographic processes at regional and local levels. The journal accepts articles from university departments across Russia and from young scholars (students and postgraduates). Selection criteria: topic relevance, completeness, and scientific/applied significance. The audience is predominantly academic (students and faculty), as well as researchers and practitioners engaged in regional development.

2. Physical Geography and Geoecology

The section is focused on the operational publication of theoretical developments in physical geography and geoecology, and the results of applied studies of natural and anthropogenic geoecosystems at global, regional, and local scales. The journal accepts articles by professors of specialized departments and young scientists (students and postgraduates). Selection criteria: topic relevance, completeness, and scientific/applied significance. Audience: students and faculty, and specialists dealing with regional nature management, monitoring, and ecological-geographical assessment of geosystems (including the Tver region).

3. Cartography and GIS

The section is focused on the prompt publication of theoretical developments in cartography and applied cartographic studies, as well as a wide range of issues in Earth observation/remote sensing. It aims to discuss topical theoretical issues and publish specific research results in cartography and geographic information systems. Selection criteria: relevance, completeness, and scientific/applied significance. Audience: students and faculty, researchers and practitioners working on the development, creation, and use of thematic and special maps.

4. Geographical Education

The section is focused on the prompt publication of theoretical developments in geographical education and results of applied research on the methodology of teaching geography in higher and secondary schools. The aim is to discuss topical theoretical issues and publish specific methodological developments. The journal accepts articles from university and school teachers and from young scientists (students and postgraduates). Selection criteria: relevance, completeness, and scientific/applied significance. Audience: students and instructors interested in new methodological approaches and research in geographic education.

5. Tourism: Interdisciplinary Research

The section is focused on the prompt publication of theoretical developments in tourism and results of applied tourism and recreational research. The aim is to discuss topical theoretical issues and publish specific research results in tourism. The journal accepts articles from specialized university departments and young scientists (students and postgraduates). Selection criteria: relevance, completeness, and scientific/applied significance. Audience: students and faculty, as well as researchers and practitioners dealing with tourism development.
