Spatial inhomogeneity of interannual variability of the Caspian Sea level based on satellite altimetry

Abstract

The results of the investigation of spatial inhomogeneity of the Caspian Sea level interannual variability on basis of the regional mean sea surface height model are presented. It is shown that is possible to identify areas of maximum rate of change (fall or rise) of the Caspian Sea. The first place is the zone of the Ural River delta, the zone between of south-east Derbent Depression and and north of Apsheron Ridge, the zone between west part of Azerbaijan coastal zone and Lankaran Depression
