Abstract

The present article touches upon the historiographic context and background of biography of historian S. V. Frjazinov. Archival materials of Tver and Nizhni Novgorod, memoirs, letters of Frjazinov became the basic sources for studying of the biography of S. V. Frjazinov. In article S. V. Frjazinov's scientific formation at the Moscow university is shown, the basic directions of sci-entific search are considered. Data on S. V. Frjazinov's teaching activity in Kostroma, Kalinin (Tver), Moscow and Gorky (Nizhni Novgorod) are resulted. Authors of article have come to a conclusion that the above scientific heritage by S. V. Frjazinov plays a role of the utmost in modern history and is still of current interest.
