Abstract

The article provides an analysis of the complex structures of the scientific style of speech, namely, the textbooks of the professional cycle are analyzed by the continuous sampling method, according to which the process of teaching foreign students of the future specialty in an engineering and technical university is carried out. The paper selects complex structures with a compositional connection, the use of which is needed by non-philologists in the educational and professional field, since the information about a complex sentence received during the preparatory course is not enough to understand and reproduce specific models of the syntax of scientific style of speech. In the course of the study, a range of complex proposals has been identified that need to be taught to foreigners at an advanced stage. The analysis of complex structures highlighted in the texts of the disciplines of the professional cycle will allow us to develop a methodological strategy for teaching these complex syntactic models to foreigners-nonphilologists of engineering and technical profile at an advanced stage (B2)
