Abstract

The basic concepts of the research are considered, the tasks of independent work are formulated and the conditions for its effective organization within the framework of distance learning are determined. The experience of organizing independent work in mastering the main professional educational program in the discipline «Foreign language in professional activity» is described, the types of independent work, methodological recommendations for their implementation, developed by the teachers of the department "Foreign languages and speech culture" are given. The proposed set of tasks for independent work can be applied at various stages of teaching a foreign language in specialized and non-core universities
