Abstract

The problem of developing writing skills efficiency in the process of teaching English at technical universities is reviewed. A retrospective analysis was made of the requirements for the results of teaching writing in exemplary programs on the subject «Foreign language» for non-linguistic universities. The resources of modern textbooks for non-linguistic universities regarding the implementation of the requirements of the latest Federal State Educational Standards 3++ to the development of foreign language writing skills are considered. It is stated that improvement of the efficiency of teaching writing is possible only through the implementation of a systematic approach, coupled with a specific statement of the objectives of teaching writing, their projection on the contents and search of new ways of their realization
