Abstract

Describes the key trends of vocational education and training (VET) future development in the world. Revealed dominant megatrends megatrends prospects for the future modernization of VET system as a whole and at institutional level in terms of improving the sustainability of the country's socio-economic development and quality of education and efficiency of VET. Global factors as a prerequisites for the VET and global labour market transformation were analyzed as well as the direction of VET modernization; observed the role and the nature of VET in terms of lifelong learning. The methods applied: general scientific methods of the research, comparative- analytical method, the method of interpretation, modeling. The research offers an insight into a comprehensive analysis of the main external factors that predetermine the vector of future VET transformation, as well as the epistemological analysis of VET and approaches to rethinking its nature in terms of VET management policy revision and modernization of educational programs, adult learners attraction, increasing VET image and quality of education in terms of for future development of activities at different levels
