THE FLIPPED CLASSROOM MODEL FOR «METHODS OF EDUCATING AND TRAINING IN COMPUTER SCIENCE» DISCIPLINE

Abstract

The article describes the modified flipped classroom model of teaching arrangement, that is one of the components of the blended learning educational technology. «Flipping the classroom» means that students gain first exposure to new material outside of class, and then and focus on the higher forms of cognitive work in class. Proposed model divides extracurricular assigniments of a particular subject into two parts: assignments of the first (pre-curricular) part are used to prepare for a good apprehension of a curricular studies content. Аssignments of the second (post-curricular) part are used to improve an acquired knowledge and to elaborate some skills. The article contains some student's activities provided with its objectives described in the framework of the regarded model for each studying stage and the affected elements of an online Moodle-based course provided with a possibilities of interactive student's work arrangement and automatic knowledge testing system usage. There are also some examples of an applying elements of an online Moodle-based course to organize a self-instruction student's work, ways to organize interactive student's work using some of such elements described in the article, by example of «Methods of educating and training in computer science» discipline
