Abstract

The article gives a brief review of the Vocational education and training in Finland, a recognized leader in the field of VET. The article sets forth the structure of the system itself as well as the prerequisites allowing integration of VET in the system of continuous education. The VET system in Finland is flexible and student-oriented. An important role is given to quality assurance and a variety of evaluation tools aiming to increase the efficiency of education
