Abstract

The article reflects key vectors for the development of secondary vocational education in Russia in the context of adoption of the new Law “On Education”, implementation of new Federal Education Standards and addressing goals of social and economic development of the country for the medium-term future. The article focuses on critical issues negatively impacting secondary VET, and point out possible solutions, as well as ways to consolidate the VET community for successfully implementing the modernization of the system of secondary VET and enhancement of its cooperation with the labour market
