Abstract

The article reviews the premises, terms of the origin of the reformative pedagogical trend "philanthropizm" based by Basedov influenced by the ideas of Lock and Rousseau in Germany at the end of the XIII century. It describes the concept of new type educational institutions named “philanthropin”, and their role in the development of pedagogical science
