In this article the historical experience of preparation of pedagogical shots in the European North of Russia in the XX-th century beginning оn an example of teacher's seminary of Olonets province is analyzed. The role of the state, the public initiative and private persons in the decision of material, financial, educational and other problems of preparation of teachers is shown, the requirements to arriving in teacher's seminaries are analysed.
