Abstract

The article carries an overview of on-going processes in higher education under the Bologna process from the perspective of key areas of regulation. The processes reveal a certain convergence of the instruments, namely in the principles of curricula development based on learning outcomes, in the models of quality assurance systems, autonomy of universities, and introduction of new curricula. The analysis is based on the data from a number of EU countries (UK, France, Germany and Spain) belonging to different types of state intervention in higher education.
