Abstract

In this article there were identified and meaningfully characterized priority personal and professional qualities of a mathematics teacher by means of historical and educational interpretation of the views of prominent Russian scientists and mathematicians of the 19 – early 20th centuries from the standpoint of modern methodological knowledge.
