Abstract

The research indicates the problem of organisation of different forms of self-directed learning in an institute of higher education. It is seen as means of improvement of knowledge quality of students, activization of their cognitive activity and development of self-directed ability of students of full-time courses as well as correspondence department. These forms of self-directed learning improve motivation to study at the institute of higher education.
