The article deals with the main causes of the contradictions between the descriptive and explanatory paradigms in psychology. On the one hand, descriptive psychology doesn't accept deterministically rational descriptions of an object, on the basis of which the scientific analysis starts in descriptive psychology. On the other hand, explanatory psychology using the explanatory paradigms rejects final theoretical models, worked out by descriptive psychology, as they don't meet the science requirements (e.g. rationality and determinism).Downloads
