This article deals with the problem of students' willingness to meet the demands put on them by society, both as specialists and as people capable of changing their behavior depending on the conditions of social processes, as well as their willingness to fit into different social environments and to perform different social roles. The article concludes that one of the socio-pedagogical policy directions should consist in organizing college work to form social competence among students. This could lead to increasing their professional competence, competitive ability in the labor market as well as to successful performance of their roles in society.Downloads
