The review analyses I. Yablokov's book "Russian Culture of Conspiracy" dedicated to political conspiracy in the Russian Federation. The study is based on open sources, the author connects the development of conspiracyology in Russia with preelection political technologies, intellectual quests of elites, international information wars, and he formulates as one of his tasks an attempt to get rid of the stigma of paranoid conspiracy thinking, considering conspiracy theories as a sociocultural norm. At the same time, the author of the review, noting high relevance of the book, draws attention to the fact that the analysis of conspiracy as a culture requires studying the conspiracy thinking not only of the elite, but also of the general public, moving to the level of mass consciousness, which requires expanding both the source and methodological base of the work, allowing studying conspiracy theory functioning in the forms of myths, rumours, paranoia, technology and artistic images.Downloads
