Abstract

The article is devoted to the reconstruction of the evolution of the re-cruitment system for the training of scientific personnel in the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR in the post-war decade. The need to restore and create conditions for the development of the personnel potential of the leading research institution of the BSSR contributed to the activation of the policy to attract young people to science. The personnel policy was carried out in accordance with the basic provisions of the Soviet system of training scientists, taking into account regional specifics. Difficulties in completing postgraduate studies, which were the most popular form of education, are primarily associated with the factor of the Great Patriotic War and its consequences for the BSSR. Only in the first half of the 1950s, due to the overcoming of its consequences in the economy and social sphere (including in higher education), preliminary work with ap-plicants and competitive selection became widespread. However, in the context of directive planning of forced growth of scientific personnel (both candidates and doctors of science), the personnel policy was char-acterized by inconsistency and lack of implementation of a systematic approach.
