Abstract

The article examines the main directions of the cultural life of Kalinin, liberated from the Fascist invaders, which were voiced in the radio broadcasts of the regional radio. The research was based on information extracted from archival sources – narrator materials from the time of the Great Patriotic War. There is no research on this topic within the region in historiography. The article considers the problem of the reliability of narrator materials, traces the dynamics of the development of their subjects. As the cities and villages of the Kalinin region were liberated, the authorities sought to immediately establish radio broadcasting there, since radio broadcasts served as a powerful means of ideological work, addressing cultural topics in radio broadcasts made it possible to direct and organize cultural and educational leisure of the population, raised people to restore destroyed cultural centers
