The article considers a set of documents published within the frame-work of the All-Russian project "No Statute of Limitations", reflecting the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against the civilian population in the occupied territory of the Kalinin region of the RSFSR during the Great Patriotic War. The motives and essence of the Nazi atrocities are presented as an element of the usual daily practice against civilians. Special attention is paid to the study of the process of collecting and documenting information about crimes. The features of fixing the facts about the atrocities coming from the occupied territory are considered. The author analyzed records of interviews of witnesses and primary acts compiled after the liberation of settlements. The acts of district commissions have specifics: on the one hand included only part of the information of the primary acts of villages, collective farms, village councils, on the other – sometimes differed in the multiple repetition of the same primary information. It is noted that there is a need for additional study of published and archival documents to establish the surnames and names of the killed and injured civilians.Downloads
