The article is devoted to the source analysis of previously unpublished archival documents on the official activities of Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov as an inspector of the Konstantinovsky Land-surveying college and Director of the Konstantinovsky Land-surveying Institute. Documents of the Boundary archive of the Russian state archive of ancient acts, the Konstantinovsky Land-surveying college and the Konstantinovsky Land-surveying Institute of the Central state archive of Moscow, a significant part of the epistolary heritage of the Aksakov family allow us to reveal his identity as a talented administrator, analyze the pedagogical principles based on a humanistic attitude in education. It laid the Foundation for its future development and further obtaining the status of a first-class educational institution, after which the students received higher education.Downloads
