Abstract

The article is devoted to the development of industry in the Tver prov-ince in the 1880–1890s. The author researches changes that took place in various Tver industries during this period, their conditionality and corre-lation with all-Russian trends. Much attention is given to the cotton, flour and leather industries. Based on statistical data, it is concluded that in the last two decades of the XIX century the industry of the Tver province experienced recession, industrial boom and rapid growth, which were different for various industries. Overall, this period can be considered successful in the industrial history of the province.
