ZIONIST LABOR PARTY: AT WORK IN POST-REVOLUTIONARY RUSSIA

The article, based on archival documents, examines the activities of the Zionist Labor Party («the Trudoviks») in the Soviet Union in the 1920s. By 1925, Zionism had become the largest organized force among the Jewish population. In this regard, the scale and influence of the movement began to cause disapproval from the authorities. Socialist and labor Zionist parties and organizations were classified as anti-Soviet and counterrevolutionary, came under the close attention of the security services and began to work in secret. The article contains excerpts from archival documents reflecting the Zionist Labor Party of representatives views, aspirations and plans. Particular attention was paid to improving the situation of Jewish workers, cultural and educational work with youth, prepa-ration for life in Palestine.Downloads
