Abstract

The article analyzes the main trends in the development of humanitarian Informatics in modern historical research. The author comes to the con-clusion about the effectiveness of using methods of cognitive mapping, descriptive statistics and content analysis to assess the effectiveness of Zemstvo activities. Special attention is focused on the analysis of the experience of development and practical implementation by the author (copyright holder) of the database «Tver and Moscow Zemstvo figures of the conservative direction, 1864–1914».
