Abstract

The article is based on analysis of the materials, stored in the Perm State Archive of Social and Political History. It demonstrates how the cases against children were fabricated during the period of mass repressions in 1937–1938. Repressions of this kind took place all over the country, not in the Perm region only. The accusations against minors did not differ substantially from those against the adults, but it was easier to break the spirit of the persons under age and made them to confess in any crimes. Sometimes the accusations against children were so absurd, that the offices of public prosecutors and different «troikas» pronounced judgements to close such cases more often, than against adults.
