Abstract

The results of the study of the correspondence of V. A. Maklakov and A. F. Kerensky for 1944, 1948–1949 are presented. The letters of V. Maklakov contain an analysis of the political situation in France and Russia, characterize the Soviet government and Russian emigration in France, assess the possibilities of Russian emigration for liberation from Bolshevism and the revival of Russia. The author notes that a special place in the letters of V. A. Maklakov is taken by the discussion of the meeting of representatives of Russian emigration circles with the Soviet ambassador in 1945 in Paris. The author analyzes the views of V. A. Maklakov on the political structure of Russia, on the tasks and possibilities of Russian emigration, reveals his attitude to cooperation with the Soviet government, to the possibility of a coup in the Soviet Union
