Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the formation of Karelian palace vo-lost's on the materials of scribe campaigns initiated and carried out by the state aimed at identifying and registering “Korelians” or “foreign immigrants” (terminology of sources) on the territory of the Bezhetsky Verkh. On this lands by the end of the 18th century at least 13 Karelian palace volosts were formed, some of which had separate boards (Prudovskaya, Chamerovskaya).
