Abstract

The article is devoted to the preparation of the Second Department of his Imperial Majesty's Chancellery (SEIWG), and then at Berlin University, students of law in 1828–1835 On the initiative of M. M. Speransky were elected students of the St. Petersburg and Moscow theological academies, "full graduates", who for years studied jurisprudence at St. Petersburg University and the Second part of SEUK, and then, to improve knowledge were sent to the University of Berlin. The result of their train-ing was their approval in the degree of doctor of law and direction for teaching law in four Russian universities. K. Nevolin, S. Ornatsky, S. Bo-gorodsky were sent to Kiev University, P. Kalmykov, A. Kranichfeld and Y. Baryshev were appointed to St. Petersburg University; A. Fedotov-Chekhov, I. Platonov, A. Kunitsyn-to Kharkov; P. Redkin, S. Baryshev, N. Krylov – to Moscow.
