Abstract

The article is devoted to the question of why the materials of the Police Department of the times of the First World War do not contain information about the activities in Russia of Masonic lodges of the system of the Great East of the Peoples of Russia. It is concluded that the police focused on information from abroad from the Great East of France, while Russian lodges severed their organizational ties with the French ones.
