Abstract

The article deals with the conflict that arose in the course of the land re-form, between the legislative and Executive authorities of Kuban, formed after The February revolution, and private land owners. In the course of the implementation of the land policy, word-in-word tensions matured: between land owners from Cossacks and Cossacks supporting the class principle of land use. Legislatively fixing the destruction of private ownership of land, trying to redistribute land in favor of the Cossack class, the authorities of the Kuban, faced with the natural reaction of owners who are not willing to cultivate the land with vague legal status. The economic conflict inevitably developed into a political conflict: a certain segment of the population, dissatisfied with the ideology of land reform, went into open opposition to the Cuban authorities, frankly gravitated to the leadership of the White movement, seeing it as a political force capable of force to restore their property rights. The article uses materials from the funds of the state archives of Krasnodar Region, memoirs and research literature.
