Abstract

The article is devoted to the materials of the excavations of the burial site Ust’e (Tver region) for the reconstruction of the Old Rus’ burial dress. The headdress with the temporal rings of middle- and small size, the cover dress with the wide neckline and the belt, decorated by the fringe and metal pendants on the woolen and leather cords, are reconstructed. The main ornaments of the belt and neck zones are the bronze bells with a cross slot, combined in a horizontal lines. The similar type of the burial dress are reconstructed by the archaeological sites of this microregion. This dress composed the features of the culture of Krivichi tribe of the Upper Volga and Smolensk areas and the culture of the east part of the Upper Volga basin, that remained the Finno-Ugric features.
