Abstract

Article is devoted to political cartoons of 1917 as to a source on reconstruction of mass moods of city layers. Characteristic ways of a circumvention of acceptable restrictions in a prerevolutionary cartoons, and the methods of visualization which are also extended in 1917 expanding semantics of the text including plots of 1917 in a world eschatological dis-course are considered. By means of the quantitative analysis characteristics of the massif of journal cartoons in the first and in the second half of 1917 are revealed, the most popular plots of satire throughout revolution are designated
