Abstract

The article is devoted to the activity of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in November 1917 - January 1918. The October Revolution didn’t affect the Church authority for several months which continued to work according the rules established by the Provisional Government. The article introduced the previously unknown archival documents.
