Abstract

The article discusses the history of the building № 1 of Tver State Univer-sity, located on Trekhsvyatskaya street, in the context of cultural street landscape and development trends of the University. It highlights the stages of its development, describes the most significant events in the life of the body, its transformation, the role of the people directly connected with it. This work is an attempt to consider the history of the university through the prism of the history of one building. The article is written on the basis of the periodicals, memoirs of teachers and members of their families, students, staff of scientific library of TSU and photographs.
