Abstract

The 70th of the 18th century are celebrated by emergence of the first «History of the Tver Land», the author who became the official of the Tver magistrate Diomid Ivanovich Karmanov. In 1780 it got the house in the central part of Tver at the corner of modern streets of Krylov and Volodarsk. Having existed several centuries, in the second half of the 20th century the building was almost completely destroyed, however the house standing today on this place (No. 40 down the street Volodarsk) can include the remains of the first floor of construction of the last third of the 18th century.
