Abstract

The article is devoted to the role of F. Kh. Arslanova, the associate professor of the Department of Russian history of Tver state university, in the studying of the burial site of Izbrizhye (Kalininsky district of the Tver region). The archaeological complex of Izbrizhye includes settlement of the Stone Age (from Mesolith era), the settlements of the early Iron Age, the barrow group of Old Rus’ period and the settlement of the late Middle Ages. The studying of the archaeological complex begins since the end of the 19th century. F. Kh. Arslanova research the barrow group from 1975 to 1992 within the archaeological practice of the students of the Historical faculty. The barrows studied by layer and sector. In total 67 barrows have been studied. By results of the field researche F.Kh. Arslanova with coauthors published 19 scientific articles. The materials of excavations formed a basis for 2 PhD theses, 4 monographs, more than 50 articles. The finds from Izbrizhye are used in the educational and museum work.
