Abstract

The article highlights the problem of the development and functioning of factories and plants in Simferopol in the last quarter of the 19th century in conditions of intensive economic development of the Crimean peninsula and the Russian Empire, as a whole. It is drawn that in the process of growth the factory industry faced a number of difficulties connected with the initial stage in the formation of the industrial structure of production, including the chaotic placement of enterprises, the low qualification of management personnel, the insufficient regulation of labor relations, which, nevertheless, did not become an obstacle in the progressive development of the basic industries of the Crimea in the future. In the article, also, the names of the owners of enterprises are widely presented.
