The article analyzes the tasks pursued by V. D. Spasovich, a historian and literary critic, publishing a monument of Polish historical thought in the 16th century, an essay by an eyewitness and direct participant of the events described by Sventoslava Ozhelsky «Interregni Poloniae libri VIII». The author also reveals the reasons for Spasovich's interest in the history of Poland and his desire to develop Russian-Polish relations.Downloads
