Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of conflicts of jurisdictions and divisions in the Russian foreign Orthodoxy of the 1920s-1930s In the spotlight – a unique note by the Prince Yury Kozlovsky (from the Archive of the Synod of bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad), written in 1935 on the eve of one of the missions of reconciliation supporters of Metropolitan Evlogy (Georgievsky) and Antony (Khrapovitsky), which took the Serbian Patriarch Barnabas. Note sheds light on the perception of the reality Church from the exile of the elite, indicates the expectations of the Church world and the painful effects of control of the Church hierarchy.
