Abstract

In article features of extraordinary diplomatic mission Venetian noble person by Giacomo Soranzo in Constantinople in 1582 are unveiled. On the basis of the analysis of the report and the diary of travel the ambassadorial etiquette of the Turkish diplomatic practice is shown. His elements in the Ottoman Empire were same as in Europe, but at the same time the destiny of embassy was entirely in power of the sultan. The invitation of official representatives of the European governors for participation in a holiday of trimming of the son of the sultan was obligatory, complexity of diplomatic situation Venice consisted in what to refuse such mission in the 16th century the Venetian governors had no opportunity. Is shown that Venetians have disapprovingly apprehended rituals of a kommensalnost at court of the Turkish sultan: they were unpleasantly udvit by lack of table furniture and tableware, impossibility to observe for stly hygiene, improper drinks.
