The article deals with the apogee of the uprising in 1381, when the rebellious peasants came to London. Basing on the analysis of narrative and documentary sources, identified the causes and the degree of participation of different groups of citizens in rebellion, analyzes the main events identified implications for the development of the capital. Using formational and civilizational methodology of knowledge has allowed for further reflection on the socio-political dynamics of medieval towns. In the end it is concluded that was not common programme of action among the citizens and peasants, Londoners used the instability to solve their own internal problems, chief among them were the confrontation between «old» and «new» patricians, local and central government, urban and foreign weavers, craftsmen and apprentices with students.Published
