MEMOIRS OF SEMINARIANS AS A REFLECTION OF OF THE DISCUSSIONS ON THE PROBLEMS OF SPIRITUAL SCHOOLS SECOND HALF XIX - EARLY XX CENTURIES

Analyzed memoir of spiritual school pupils as a historical source. It is shown that the memoirs of the seminarians are diverse in structure, place of publication, they reflect the peculiarities of everyday life, the educational process. It substantiates the idea that memories were written under the influence of the development of religious education debate. Demonstrates how to link social movements of the early XIX century and discussion of the problems of theological seminaries. Memoirs reveal the attitude of society to the spiritual school and the reform of the Russian Orthodox Church. The analysis showed that many of the authors of memoirs criticized the existing order in the seminaries. Discontent with his life led to a negative attitude to the authors of a seminary education. In his memoirs, discussed the problem of special education for the children of the clergy and the possibility of secular education.Downloads
