POSSESSION OF THE NOBLE FAMILY SIMANSKI ON THE TERRITORY OF THE PSKOV PROVINCE IN the SECOND HALF of the XVIII Century

Abstract

The importance of a noble Simanski family is significant due to its outstanding representatives and ancient origins. Their possessions in the Pskov province in the XVIII century are still low-studied.The historiography of the topic is poor because of the research interest was focused on the genealogy and biographies of individual representatives. The introduction of data General survey and census descriptions made it possible to characterize Simanski possession and to clarify their property rights to the lands of Pskov province. Analysis of sources showed that the bulk of the land holdings held forest and arable land. Possessions themselves are characterized by the resistance during the II half of the XVIII century, old and new towns are preserved expanding the manor – the village of Zagorje.
