Abstract

The article considers the traditional approaches of russian researchers to the typology of cult archeological sites. The author offers to consider the ritual archaeological complexes in the framework of the general system description through the combination of signs – constructive elements. The study is based on constructive-morphological and information-based approaches. The author considers the signs of ritual archaeological complexes at different levels: mega-, macro-, meso-, microlevel. The basis for the classification are signs of the macrolevel: the natural object of worship, an artificial object of worship, railing, altar, religious buildings, ritual residues / remains, things. The combination of signs allowed to identify 127 classes of monuments (mathematical model). Ethnic and regional differences are most manifested at the meso- and microlevel of the system description.
