The sources on the history of regional science in the USSR are characterized in the article: works by the Commission of the Academy of Sciences "Science and scientists in the USSR" and the works created by the local section of researchers in the 1927-1934. It is concluded that the submissions systematize facts about the staff of the regional science in two main areas: information about scientific workers (their number, biographical information, specialty, profession, place of work, party) and information about the scientific institutions (creation time, the task structure, number of employees, managers).Downloads
