Abstract

The article devoted to the problem of legal status of acolytes of Russian Orthodox Church at the beginning of XX-th century. The study is based on the official documents of Holy Synod of Russian Empire. Special attention is paid to the social and property rights, official duties of acolyte as a member of parish clergy.
