Abstract

The article gives historiographical analysis of documents of the personal files of the disenfranchised Orthodox clergymen and priests in Western Siberia. The author studies the composition and features of these documents, the complex of whose is divided into three groups due to authorship (documents of disenfranchised, supporting materials, Commission's documents). The informational potential of personal files for historical reconstruction of socio-cultural image of this category of disenfranchised is assessed in the article. It is concluded that there is significance in applications of the disenfranchised clergymen as a source for studying behavioral adaptation strategies and practices of the group in the post-revolutionary society in the 1920s - mid 1930s.
