This article analyzes contemporary works of scientists from the Great Britain, USA, Israel, India, Switzerland, dedicated to the history of Russian liberalism of late XIX – early XX centuries. These works deal with such problems as: the history of organizational centers of Russian liberalism late XIX – early XX centuries, social composition, program and tactics of the Russian liberals, formation of Russian liberal parties (Cadets, Octobrists, Progressists), the work of their representatives in the State Duma. The article also traces the main trends in the development of Anglo-American historiography of the twentieth century in the context of the study of the history of Russian liberalism. Generalization and analysis of the major trends in the English-language historiography of Russian liberalism may be required for an overall assessment of the current state and prospects of development of the western Russian Studies.
