The analysis of data on the graph, language, phonetics, forms and paleography Tver birchbark manuscripts № 1. By using the method of dating according to the graph, language, phonetics, forms and paleography shows that are available in the national historiography observations on paleography certificates are not is accurate and that the collection of data analyzed shows dating birch bark in the range from 1220 to 1260. The author compares the obtained data with the results of the analysis of wood from archaeological excavations in Tver. The conclusions the author reinforces the analysis of the content of letters, which refers to the noble people of Novgorod, engaged in credit operations in the second quarter of the XIII century. The author concludes that the Tver birchbark manuscripts № 1 was written in the period from 1220 by 1280, preferably 1230-ies.
